Hi! Thanks for visiting! Welp, let's just jump right into it: I love to write, illustrate, and paint. I graduated with a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2004 with honors and distinction. While there, I majored in illustration, focusing on children's book illustration, storytelling, animation, and scriptwriting. I also took a few acting classes over at CP Casting. After that, I worked as a background artist at Soup2Nuts, an animation company in Watertown, Massachusetts, for about six years on all sorts of projects, but the big ones were WordGirl (which has received eleven Emmy nominations and four wins) and SciGirls. Both were shows for PBS Kids. For the SciGirls backgrounds, I earned a special recognition certificate from the National Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Daytime Emmy Awards! SciGirls won in the category of Outstanding New Approaches in Children's Television.
After that, I married a handsome scientist, moved to California, had two amazing kids, and decided to focus on being a mom. My family and I have finally settled down in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. The babies aren't babies anymore, and I'm finding my way back into making art again. There's a little extra time these days to do a project here and there. What I'd like to do now is get back into traditional painting and illustration, with real paint and real paper and the clinking of a paintbrush against a jar full of water.
